Wai Manawa / Little Shoal Bay Reserve is an Auckland Council waterfront park on the inner Waitematā at Northcote/Birkenhead, with a fully shade-clothed nautical-themed playground at its centre. The play space combines play towers, bridges, climbing ropes, three slides, a covered tunnel, climbing nets, monkey bars, two age-graded swing sets, a sandpit and interactive play panels (much of the equipment painted blue for the nautical theme). Around it sit tennis courts, fitness equipment, picnic tables, a BBQ, an outdoor shower, public toilets, parking and harbour views across to the city.

On a sunny day this is a nice spot for a picnic. The grounds can get wet in the rain. A small workout areas with outdoor equipment devoid of weights, good for the elderly. Great for dogs too. Playground for kids on the eastern side. Saw quite a few dogs take a dip in the water too. There is also a boat ramp. northern side of the park has tennis courts, walking tracks and nic eopen spaces for pets, can get damp.
