Hobsonville Point Playground sits inside Hobsonville Point Park on the corner of De Havilland Road and Buckley Avenue in the former airbase subdivision in north-west Auckland. The site is part of an award-winning Isthmus Group play strategy with giant steel sculptural seed pods for climbing, alongside swings, slides, picnic tables, shade, drinking fountains and on-street parking; a short walk down to the Hobsonville Coastal Walkway with harbour views. Well-regarded by parents as a striking destination-style play space rather than a standard local stop.

Really great playground, and I can see that a lot of thought has been put into it to make it interesting for kids. One of the more interesting additions are the two coconut shaped things suspended in the air by poles, which you can climb up into and go between them. Lot's of memories formed there. There are also heaps of other things in the playground which are great. I would also recommend going on a little biking trip around the area, and you can stop at the playground as a little breather, or end destination. 😁

A great playground with a large variety of areas to play. It is close to cafes, park and a field so there is always an area for kids to enjoy. It recently had been updated by the addition of shade sails. There are plenty of car parks around, making it easy to access.
