Shepherds Park is a large Auckland Council park in Beach Haven (named after the Shepherd farming family), with the inclusive playground sitting alongside three sports fields, a children's bike circuit, a perimeter fitness trail with exercise stations, a bowling club, tennis club, squash club and football club. The playground is shaded by brightly coloured sails and features a large central play structure, a basket swing, a spinning carousel and toddler bouncy toys, plus an electric BBQ for picnics. The park's adjoining headland is regenerating native coastal forest overlooking Hellyers Creek with step-free walking paths.

Lovely sports fields and very enjoyable trail run along the coast! Trail is well formed and primarily gravel. Nice new board walks across estuaries and a good view of the coastline.

Great park with a playground, exercise equipment, bike trails, sports fields and an off leash dog area frequently visited by many locals every afternoon. The trails below lead to a small beach, and onward around the beautiful Hellyers Creek Reserve.
