Heron Park is a 9.36ha Auckland Council reserve sloping from Great North Road in Waterview down to the upper Waitematā Harbour. The cushioned playground packs in climbing nets, swings, spinning toys and a flying fox for older kids under shade sails, with picnic tables, drinking fountain and accessible toilets alongside. Walking loops include the 1km Heron Park Path and a connection to the Oakley Creek Path; parking is at the end of Cadman Avenue.
