Eastdale Reserve Playground is the family play space inside Auckland Councils Eastdale Reserve on Eastdale Road in Avondale, with sports fields hosting Avondale Athletics Club and Lynn-Avon United Football Club. The playground caters for a wide age range with a bright yellow double slide, seesaw, swings, log and post climbers, and a bigger climbing frame with a wall, nets, and ladders for older kids, plus a basketball half-court by the fields. Picnic and BBQ area near the toilets, an electric BBQ, drinking fountain, and outdoor fitness gear (chin-ups, step-ups, twister, leg press, air-walker) along the eastern path round it out. Gates open 7am to 9pm. A solid sports-led community park rather than a destination playground.
