Harvard Adventure Park is a Tararua District Council destination playground on Main Street in Pahiatua, famously known as a Playground with a Plane. The bright yellow Harvard aircraft (NZ918, installed by the Pahiatua Jaycees in 1963 and recently replaced with a fibreglass replica) has a slide tumbling out of it, joined by one of the biggest rope climbing frames in the area, a hamster wheel, a roundabout, a flying fox, and two enclosed slides off an accessible wooden structure. The 2022 community-led $100,000 upgrade between Pahiatua On Track and Council included shaded picnic tables, toilets, and drinking fountains. A genuine destination day-out for Pahiatua and the wider Tararua region rather than a quick neighbourhood stop.
