George Denton Playground sits at the end of Highbury Road in Wellingtons Town Belt, inside the 32 acre George Denton Park donated to the city by W H Denton. The play space includes swings, slides, climbing racks, the muscle buster, and picnic tables across a large grassed area edged by native bush in the adjoining Waimapihi Reserve. Native birds including kaka often fly through from nearby Zealandia, which is a recurring highlight in family reviews. The park is on the Polhill family loop walk and is well-regarded for a quieter nature-rich play, though theres no public toilet on site.

Beautiful grassed area, catches the sun in winter and a few great playground options for all ages.

Can't really speak to the quality of the playground, I just parked my bike there to go for a walk to the radome.
