Fonteyn Playground sits inside Auckland Councils Whau Fonteyn Reserve on Fonteyn Street in Avondale, with a foot entrance on Avondale Road and the main entrance on Fonteyn Road. The mostly wooden play space packs two play modules into ladders, slides, steps, platforms, monkey bars, a spinner, and swings, under established shade trees with plenty of grass run-around space. Auckland Council Local and Sports Parks West has scoped a playground renewal as the equipment ages. A clean, quiet local Avondale stop rather than a destination playground.
