Dominion Park is Hamilton City Council's ecological-themed destination playground in Nawton (rebuilt in 2016), divided into three habitat-themed zones: the Swamp and Peat Lake (balancing boards), the Riparian Wetlands (swings and a zip line) and the Forest (climbing structures). Two large enclosed slides drop from the climbing towers, a large cargo net climber and challenging equipment for older kids sit alongside sand and water play for younger children. The playground uses Coolplay yarn surfaces to reduce summer heat, with a family BBQ area, picnic tables, monkey bars, sandpit, public toilets and parking nearby.

Is well used 😀 is an amazing resource for the local children who it was designed for. High enclosed slides & climbing features, sand play, water play, bbq facilities, water fountain and toilets give it a colourful beach vibe. Bits of graffiti, not alot. Kids chilling in groups but not bothering anyone while we were there. Awesome parking and tidy of rubbish.

Very good facilities, well maintained and clean. Safe for the general children population. Highest tube slider I’ve seen in all visited Hamilton parks so far. Clean toilets, bbq friendly and often full of kids.
