Castlecliff Reserve is the Whanganui District Council Castlecliff Domain on Seafront Road, 7km from the city centre on the Tasman Sea coast. The destination adventure playground combines slides, swings, a rope climbing structure and a flying fox with the Castlecliff Skatepark and a basketball court for older kids. The wider reserve covers many hectares of dune land with free electric BBQs, the Duncan Pavilion, changing rooms, toilets, showers and patrolled summer swimming. Best treated as a full beach-and-play day stop.

It's a great park, suits all ages... There's a court with hoops, there's a great skate bowl, flying fox and play areas for toddler level up to teen level... BBQs also and public toilets, parking is no problem and the beach is right next to the park... Perfect place for families... 🤘 …

A nice area to walk, explore and get a breeze and a breath of fresh sea air. The locals are friendly and a great place to walk dogs. Public toilets and a Dairy nearby.
