Victoria Park on Parsons Street in St Johns Hill is Whanganui District Council’s headline cricket ground, with wickets managed by the Wanganui Cricket Association and the outfield by the Council. The grounds also support football and other sports on the green expanses, alongside picnic tables, gardens, walking trails, public toilets, free parking and a small children’s playground.

Nice park. Well maintained by city council and large input of work by the cricket club people. They keep the main wickets beautifully. And water them.Cricket club people do a lot of work to keep it nice. Council workers take good care of the trees, any damaged or dangerous ones get looked after. They close the vehicle parking entrance each evening at dusk.

Great big park. Awesome place to run your dog and go for a walk, wide open space with a tree surround.
