Wairaka Road Playground is the play space inside Wairaka Park, a Porirua City Council reserve in Pukerua Bay surrounded by bush with the Pukerua Bay Library and the Plunket Rooms / Pre-School alongside. The upgraded playground includes a flying fox, slides and swings under shade, with public toilets nearby and a popular local following. Porirua City Council has been adding to the surrounding green space. Best treated as a comfortable family stop on the northern Porirua coast.

Great little wooden park, quiet street that isn't far off the old highway. Suitable for ages 3+. There isn't any public facilities though. Nearest public toilet is up near the corner store/dairy. The orange slide is super fast!
