Tye Park is a Tauranga City Council waterfront park on Forrester Drive in Welcome Bay, with a playground for all ages tucked beside open green lawn, free summer BBQs, picnic spots, toilets, and ample parking. The wheelchair-friendly paths run to a boat ramp with easy water access for swimming, sailing, and stand-up paddleboarding, and the park allows two-night freedom camping. Well-regarded by Welcome Bay families thanks to the combination of harbour outlook and play space. A relaxed waterfront stop rather than a destination playground.

Love our local waterfront park. Great place to bring the kids for a play in the shallows or a swim to cool off. Great place to bring all the water toys or launch your yacht or jetski. Great place to enjoy the free gas barbeques and have a picnic. Great place to let mans best friend run around. RIP Max.
