Tūī Glen Reserve is a 6ha Auckland Council park beside Henderson Creek, set up in 1924 by Claude Brookes as one of New Zealand's oldest registered camping grounds. The destination playground features a junior module with climbing wall, platforms, two yellow slides and two swings, plus three tall towers linked by pipe slides, a double flying fox and an eagle's nest with swinging baskets and climbing ropes. Adjacent are a sandpit, a learn-to-ride bike track, picnic lawns, two accessible toilet blocks, parking with mobility spaces and shade from mature trees.

Great playground and facilities. Beware of the “real fruit ice cream” van that comes around - paid $11.50 for a mango ice cream that was just vanilla. Told him this and he insisted it was mango 🙄 Coffee was also terrible. Tried to support the guy for hustling on a Sunday and I don’t like leaving bad reviews but don’t want anyone else to have a bad experience.

Such a cool playground, especially for kids 6-10 years old. Lots of shade as well, which is a relief in the heat of summer.
