Sydenham Botanic Park is a 3-hectare Tauranga City Council botanic reserve at 6 Millers Road in Brookfield, opposite the Brookfield Shopping Centre. Gifted by the late Frank Sydenham, the grounds protect a world-class kauri collection (14 species) alongside other exotic specimen trees, with picnic seating, shade and toilets through the gardens. A small playground sits within the park; Tauranga City Council is consulting on an upgrade to make it the suburb’s larger inclusive playground.
