Sutherland Park

Sutherland Park is a New Plymouth District Council sports park on Fernleigh Street (with Anne Street access) in the Ferndale suburb. The reserve is leased by athletics, soccer and cricket clubs with two winter sports fields plus a children's play area at the eastern end, surrounded by walking and running paths. The playground is described as a quieter shaded option for younger kids - good for combining a kick-around with a low-key play stop rather than a destination visit.
