Steele Park is one of Hamilton's oldest Hamilton City Council parks, in central Hamilton East and named after Lieutenant Steele who arrived in 1864. The modern colourful playground combines two in-ground trampolines with swings, seesaws and play equipment for a wide age range, set under massive oak trees for natural shade. The wider park hosts two full-size floodlit rugby fields and an astro-turf cricket pitch, plus public toilets and picnic tables, with the popular Duck Island Ice Cream a short walk away. Best treated as a Hamilton family destination combining play, picnics and a sport-watch.

We had just lost my daughter’s mobile phone . She just been to the toilet and innocently put her mobile phone to the spinner swing like when she came back it wasn’t there anymore. There was no sim card just all our photos and memories on that phone she just used downloaded games and using for kids learning….. but it was gone today. Just like that…. Who would ever think that an old VIVO kid’s phone from Philippines will be stolen …. Poor places and desperate people around so be very careful coz there’s people who never think good ….. if ever you were there today 11th of August , Sunday between 11:30am -1:00pm , you might happen to see that mobile phone…… if you were unable to access that phone, kindly return it better…
