Galloway Park is one of Hamilton’s oldest sports parks in Hamilton East, home to Claudelands Rovers Football across five floodlit pitches, three grass cricket wickets and the Hamilton East Croquet Club. The grounds include a small children’s playground, half basketball court and spray park alongside toilets, changing rooms, clubrooms, picnic seating and shade. Parking and walking trails round out a long-standing community sports hub.

Galloway Park is one of my favorite spots in Hamilton! This park is a wonderful blend of open green spaces and well-maintained facilities, making it perfect for families, sports enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax. The sports fields are always in great condition, making it ideal for a game of cricket, rugby, or just kicking a ball around. The playground is a big hit with the kids, offering a variety of equipment that keeps them entertained for hours. The park's paths are great for a leisurely walk or a run, and the mature trees provide plenty of shade on sunny days. I also appreciate how clean and safe the park feels. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic, meet up with friends, or simply take a break from the busy day-to-day life. Galloway Park is truly a gem in Hamilton—well worth a visit!
