A J Seeley Gully Reserve is a 2.5-hectare Hamilton City Council bush reserve between Armagh and Whyte Streets in Hamilton East, gifted in 2003 by ENT surgeon Dr Alwyn Seeley after 50 years of personal planting that turned a bare gully into native forest. Bridges, steps and gravel paths wind under kahikatea, totara, matai, rimu, kauri, nikau, kanuka and manuka, with the area now stewarded by the Friends of Seeley Gully who run weekly weeding and planting. Dogs on lead; the track isn’t wheelchair or pram accessible.
