Redwood Springs Park sits on Willowview Drive in the Redwood Springs subdivision of north Christchurch and is built around a natural Styx-tributary freshwater spring that bubbles up through the sand into a shallow pool, with a sculptural flax-frond canopy and viewing seating overhead. The destination-style playground features a fort, embankment slide, 'Expression' swings, net nests, large climbing logs, a rock-climbing wall, water pump and flying fox, plus picnic seating, shade and toilets. A short walking link follows the Styx River; consistently rated a top Christchurch nature playground.

Very neat water hole for the kids(and dog) over summer. Even better with the high rise train track next to it that my son loves!

Great experience for kids to see the water coming up from the ground, touch the bubbles in the sand with their feet. Freezing cold water, mid-thigh hight.
