Potters Park is an Auckland Council heritage park on the corner of Anzac Street and Lake Road in central Takapuna, donated to the borough by Frederick Seymour Potter in 1929 alongside the Potter Masonic Trust. The reserve is best known for its rose gardens and a memorial drinking fountain, with the partially fenced preschool-friendly playground tucked next to the gardens around a play mound with tunnels and slides. A lovely grassed area suits a kick-around or kite, and Takapuna shops and cafes are within walking distance. Best treated as a town-centre stop combining play with a wander through the roses.

Perfect for Sunday mornings for kids, a break from the Takapuna flea market. Lots of pigeons here too for kids and adults chase. Yes I’ve seen a full grown man here chase pigeons and it’s not me.
