Michaels Avenue Reserve is an Auckland Council park on Michaels Avenue in Ellerslie, with a colourful fully-fenced inclusive playground featuring a high tower with covered slide, basket swing, wheelchair carousel, inground trampoline, climbing mound, communications board, plus spinning and balancing elements. The wider reserve has cricket and soccer fields, outdoor fitness equipment, a wetland with a bird-watching platform and interpretive signs, plus a perimeter walking path, leisure centre toilets and a Michaels Avenue car park - well-rated by families as a destination-style inclusive play space.

It's new and clean but the design is unsafe. The swings are in the walk way and two toddlers were nearly taken out by kids on swings. Could do with more shade. The designers really shouldn't be designing children's parks. The swings are a serious accident waiting to happen. If you go there don't let your eyes off your children.
