Melville Park is an Auckland Council park in Epsom, acquired by Auckland City Council in 1917 and named after Ellen Melville, the city's first woman councillor. The wooden playground (suited for 5+) sits under mature shade trees with climbing equipment, climbing nets and towers, platforms, slides, swings and a wobbly bridge. The wider park includes cricket and playing fields, a basketball court in front of the cricket nets, the Epsom Remuera Croquet Club, an accessible loop path, accessible toilets, picnic tables and parking at the St Andrews Road entrance.

Nice and clean environment. Also, the field is suitable for playing soccer.

I like this little park, there is a playground for kids aged 5 and up I would say. The field is mainly used for cricket with a club room including toilet facilities. We use the field for football, Frisbee and any other outdoor sports when it’s not in use by the club. The field has a walking reach sound it surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers and edible plants including an abundance of rosemary bushes. This place is usually clean, tidy and has many car parks to use.
