Lake Te Koo Utu is a heritage ox-bow lake reserve in central Cambridge with a 1km pushchair-friendly loop walking trail, several lookouts, BBQ areas and a fenced children's playground on Thornton Road (opposite Bowen Street). The lake has deep cultural significance to Ngāti Korokī Kahukura and Ngāti Hauā, and was formed when pumice from the Taupō eruption blocked a Waikato River tributary; the playground was upgraded with Coolplay astroturf, wetpour surfacing, swings, slides, ropes and climbing.

Nice and clean playground. Good for all ages. There are swings, slides, trampolines, and climbing ropes. Big space to play and relax. The lake walk is beautiful and good for a family walk or picnic. Toilets and parking close by. Great place to enjoy time outside....

Great playground, public toilet, drinking fountain, exercise equipment. New condition. The only thing I would change is to complete the fence around the kids playground and include a gate.
