Ian Galloway Park is a large reserve in Northland on the edge of Karori Cemetery, best known for its 400m UCI-standard BMX track run by Capital BMX Club and its skate ramp. The park also has a fully fenced double-gated dog exercise area, walking paths, open grass, off-road parking and a new skate-themed public toilet block with drinking water. A new local play space and a regional pump track Wheels Hub are planned under the Wellington City Council 2024-34 Long-Term Plan.

Has a 12 ft vert ramp and super wide mini ramp next to it. Has toilets and drinking water available. You can usually get a car park, but the car park is small.

Sports fields x 3. One of them gets quite boggy. OK, to walk the dog around the fields, but as I was reminded today, by an Animal Control employee, keep the dog on a lead. Even when it's mid-week & there isn't anyone else in sight. I was threatened with a $300 fine.
