Frimley Park is a Hastings District Council heritage park gifted to the city in 1951 by the Williams family on the site of their former homestead, with an Old English style layout, rare trees and 5,500+ roses in formal gardens. The inclusive playground uses brightly coloured astro-turf zones for different abilities, with wheelchair-friendly roundabout, swings, slides, rope climb, bongo drums, talk tubes and a scooter path. Sports fields (football, cricket), a petanque court, picnic tables and toilets sit alongside; the best parking for the play area is on Frimley Road.

Lovely walk around the grounds. My dog loved it too. All well until we got to the ugly eyesore down the back. The big tree has been made out of bounds due to safety issues, which is reasonable, but it is a big area fenced off and has become so overgrown it would now be a fire hazard. Just looks terrible.
