Day’s Park is a large riverside amenity park on River Road in Chartwell, well known locally as one of Hamilton’s favourite off-leash dog areas. The grounds offer picnic tables, park benches, swings and walking paths along the Waikato River, with parking off River Road and Arran Road. The setting is gentle and shaded rather than a destination playground.

One of the best dog parks we’ve been to! Dogs can run around the turf area which they love as well as swimming in the lake that’s an added bonus for our furr babies! It’s also a pleasant walk for us humans also. We were so pleased with this reserve and will continue to return.
