David Lange Park is a major Māngere sports and play destination on Bader Drive, with the headline 2023 destination playground built around a volcano-themed giant play tower in a lava-field landscape co-designed with Te Ākitai Waiohua. The space packs in the Kompan Robinia Kaianga Village, a double flying fox, agility trails, trampolines, carousels, swings and dedicated under-2 and toddler zones, all with inclusive features (accessible swings, wheelchair-friendly carousel and trampoline). The wider park hosts a skatepark, basketball, volleyball and netball courts, sports fields, fitness equipment, picnic tables, accessible toilets and parking.
