Centennial Park, known locally as the Tree Trust, is a 20-hectare Rotorua Lakes Council reserve on the slopes of Tihi-o-tonga in Springfield/south Rotorua. The grassy, tree-dotted park rolls through deep gullies past the Peace Memorial and Maple Grove, drawing native tūī in early spring. BBQs, picnic tables and toilets are on site; sheep keep the grass down, so visitors are asked to close gates behind them. Dogs allowed on leads.
