Great walk around area, safe, tidy n clean when CCC have done a marvellous job of mowing Lawns and keeping our wee drains area rubbish free? Its a well kept park and area to go for long walks n exercise, I enjoy this?

Broomfield Common is a large Christchurch City Council sports park on Buchanans Road and Vanguard Drive in Broomfield, formally protected under the Reserves Act. The park combines open sports lawn with a playground that includes a multi-play structure, swings, a block wall, and a basketball half court, alongside walkway links across the Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton community ward. Menin Gate Park and the Menin Gate Drainage Reserve sit close by for combining stops. A solid neighbourhood park rather than a destination playground.
