Kyle Park is Hornby’s largest public park at 8.7 hectares, on Waterloo Road in southwest Christchurch, developed by the Paparua County Council in the early 1970s and named after Councillor Colin Kyle. The grounds host summer cricket and volleyball, a Christchurch City BMX Club track with a high start hill, jumps and concrete bermed turns, plus a children’s playground. Toilets are on site and the Hornby Matatiki Centre (aquatics, library and service centre) opens off the park.
