Bathgate Park sits on Helena Street in South Dunedin, with a fully accessible playground tucked alongside rugby and cricket fields. The play space was upgraded with continuous soft rubber matting throughout, a wheelchair-accessible carousel, interactive sensory panels, a fort with slide and climbing net, log scramble, stepping logs, talking tubes and musical play. A half basketball court with a height-adjustable hoop sits next to the playground, and accessible toilets, picnic tables and off-street parking are all on site. The park stands out as one of the most wheelchair- and stroller-friendly play spaces in the city.

Shame there's no seats or picnic tables, equipment more suited for young children only, pretty boring tbh and not very nice being right next to a busy road.
