Robin Hood Park is a Dunedin City Council sportsground in the hill suburb of Belleknowes/Roslyn off Ross Street, just over 1km from the centre. The reserve has dual rugby and soccer fields plus junior pitches, with adjoining bushland for short walks alongside a creek with ducks. A small neighbourhood playground sits beside the sports area on a large grassed lawn with a mini bike path - a relaxed local stop rather than a destination playground.

The rugby field is well-maintained, featuring a lush, even playing surface that enhances game performance. The goalposts are sturdy, and the markings are clear and visible. Spectator seating is ample, providing a great view of the action. Amenities like restrooms and concession stands are conveniently located, adding to the overall experience. The atmosphere during matches is electric, with passionate fans creating an ultimate sense of community. Overall, it’s an excellent venue for both players and spectators alike.

The location of the Beverly Begg Observatory run by the Dunedin Astronomical Society. Well worth a visit on their open nights. (weather dependant, Open nights on Sunday outside of Daylight Savings months.)
