Reids Pit Park is a 4.1 hectare Selwyn District Council reserve on the corner of Weedons and Selwyn Roads near Rolleston, restored from an old council gravel pit and reopened in December 2022 with two walking and running tracks and four bike-only mountain-bike tracks woven through landscaped ecological zones. Dogs are allowed on lead. The reserve will eventually link to the Lincoln to Rolleston cycleway when the nearby intersection is upgraded. A bike-skills and walking reserve rather than a manufactured playground.

Visit this place often with the dogs, nice easy walk, not over crowded and has easy bike trail suitable for kids. Clean toilet, only downside I found was no bin.
