Mayfield Avenue Playground is a Dunedin City Council neighbourhood play space at 22 Mayfield Avenue in Wakari, next to Wakari School. The site has been a community playground since at least 1979 (per DCC archives) with swings, slide and climbing equipment, and gained a new low-maintenance modular pump track in February 2025 alongside an upgraded off-street carpark - mirroring the Marlow Park and Waikouaiti School tracks. A relaxed local stop now offering more for scooter and bike-curious kids.
