Gooches Beach Playground sits on the eastern end of Gooches Beach on the Kaikoura township esplanade, beside the Kaikoura Swimming Pool. The Kaikoura District Council play space pairs naturally with a calm safe-swimming bay good for SUP and learn-to-surf, with public toilets, parking, changing sheds, and shade trees on the foreshore. Pair with whale-watching or seal-spotting on the Kaikoura peninsula for an easy half-day. A relaxed waterfront stop rather than a destination playground.
