Frankton Beach Playground is a Queenstown Lakes District Council waterfront play space on Allan Crescent at Frankton Beach on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, with sweeping views to the Remarkables. The Creo-designed refresh uses steppers and mounds to create unprescribed play opportunities for a wider age range, with accessible entry suited to limited-mobility visitors. The sandy beach is good for swimming and picnics in summer, and the Queenstown Trail and walking links pass close by. A relaxed scenic waterfront stop pairing well with a Frankton Marina visit.

It's a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the incredible views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains. The beach is lovely, and there's a fantastic playground that keeps the kids entertained for ages! Highly recommend for a chilled afternoon or evening, especially if you have little ones, and it's super convenient before a flight out!

Lovely little play ground for your little ones. Very windy when we got there. Fantastic view of the lake but there are airplanes flying over every now and then that scares the kids.
