Bayview Reserve is a Queenstown Lakes District Council waterfront reserve on the corner of Bay View and Peninsula roads in Kelvin Heights, set right on the Frankton Arm of Lake Wakatipu. The playground sits with direct lake views beside a walking track, boat launching ramp and public jetties, with public toilets close by. The Bathhouse cafe next door makes it an easy combine-the-play-with-a-coffee stop, and it pairs well with the nearby Kelvin Grove playground on the Kelvin Heights Golf Course loop. Best treated as a scenic family lake stop.

Nice little spot to stop for 30 mins, quick picnic, feed the ducks and enjoy the beautiful views. Ample parking when we stopped by, a playground for younger kids and a wharf to get a water taxi

Very pleasant area to picnic & relax. You can also walk the track to Kelvin Beach from here.
