Foster Park is Selwyn District Council's flagship park in Rolleston, bounded by Broadlands Drive, Goulds Road and Dynes Road, and home to the 8,000m² Selwyn Sports Centre. The destination adventure playground was the district's first and packs in a 4m stainless-steel slide, a covered big slide, a tunnel slide, a flying fox, a hamster (mouse) wheel, carousel, rock-climbing holds, rope towers and a separate toddler section with train, tunnel and slide. Picnic tables and bench seating sit under umbrellas next to the playground, with shaded big slides, a central drinking fountain, toilets at the carpark and ample parking adjacent.
