Cloverlea Recreation Reserve is a 10.5 acre Auckland Council reserve in Pukekohe's Cloverlea suburb. The natural-themed playground combines a flying fox, wooden climbing forts and natural play elements with shaded picnic tables, a retention pond for spotting ducks and turtles, and cycle and scooter friendly paths winding through the surrounding trees. Best treated as a destination Franklin family stop combining play with a wildlife wander.

Understand it is a flood plain but surely it can have some specimen trees such as kowhai, Kahikatea, pukatea, puriri, taraire, kohekoh, totara, pohutakawa etc. Especially around the edges where the flood plan would not be compromised at all. Combine this with a walking and cycling track underneath that has shade and does not need to be mown. Good for people and biodiversity. Could create a great space for the likes of frisbee golf etc and more use.
