Sunnynook Park is an Auckland Council neighbourhood park in Sunnynook with a recently upgraded playground featuring a colourful tepee climbing structure under shade trees, a three-swing set (including a basket swing), a large rope-snake swing/spinner around a central pole, plus shade sails over the play area. Adjacent are a skate bowl near the Juniper Road entrance, sports fields, a cluster of adult fitness equipment (leg press, chin-up/dip, bench press) along the Sycamore Drive path, picnic tables, a small toilet block and parking at the Tonkin Drive carpark.

Sunny Nook Park is a fantastic spot with amazing fields perfect for kicking around a rugby or soccer ball. With multiple parks and several clean toilets, it’s a great place for exercise and fun. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for all ages.

Sunnynook Park is a fantastic community hub on the North Shore. It features a flat, approximately 1km concrete perimeter path that is perfect for walking, running, or kids learning to ride bikes. The park is well-equipped for families and athletes alike, offering: Two Playgrounds: Suitable for various ages, with one recently upgraded in front of the community centre. Sports & Fitness: Multiple playing fields for rugby and cricket, a skate bowl, and a dedicated outdoor exercise equipment area. Amenities: Clean public toilets, plenty of seating, and a large free parking lot. Convenience: Located just a short walk from the Sunnynook Shopping Centre and bus station. It is a pet-friendly space (dogs on leash) and a great spot for a weekend picnic under the mature trees.
