Sandford Park is a large Hamilton City Council reserve on Peacockes Road in Bader, stretching along the Mangakotukutoku Gully to the Waikato River and linking up with Peacockes Reserve Esplanade and the Te Awa River Ride near Cobham Bridge. The multi-use adventure playground sits within native bush, with climbing, swings, ropes and a bike track, plus boardwalks and walking trails through fantail- and tūī-rich bush, picnic seating and shade. It is well-rated by locals as a bush-adventure family stop rather than a manufactured destination playground.

Good place for walking. A lot of trees, bushes. Can start walking at Hamilton Gardens, form a good loop.

A public access to part of Hamilton's gully system with access toward the Waikato River from Peacockes Road. A pleasant leafy walk, though there is a bit of weed problem on portions of it. The walk carries on across Peacocks Road towards Cobham Bridge.
