Boyes Park is a Hamilton City Council central-city heritage park on Tristram Street, part of the historic West Town Belt. The 2023 redevelopment delivered a neighbourhood play space (not a destination one), connected pathways, flat grassed lawns, shady trees, interpretive signage celebrating the local history, and a refurbished Dame Hilda Ross Memorial fountain. The play area is mainly used by inner-city residents and CBD workers for a quick stop. A relaxed central neighbourhood park rather than a destination playground.

Boyes Park in Hamilton, NZ, is a hidden gem that offers a perfect escape for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful day outdoors. Nestled just a short distance from the city center, the park offers a beautiful blend of lush greenery, open spaces, and well-maintained facilities, making it a great spot for a variety of activities. One of the park's highlights is its spaciousness. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a quiet picnic, go for a jog, or simply relax under the trees, there's plenty of room to spread out. The expansive lawns provide the perfect setting for families and friends to enjoy some quality time together. I also noticed that the park is dog-friendly, with areas where pets can roam freely, which is a big plus for dog owners. The park has several walking paths that allow you to explore its scenic beauty at your own pace. The well-kept landscaping, with a mix of native plants and mature trees, creates a serene atmosphere. There’s also a charming playground that is perfect for kids, with modern equipment ensuring that little ones can have fun and stay active. One of the best features of Boyes Park is its peaceful and tranquil vibe. It’s not as crowded as some other parks in the area, which makes it ideal for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The park is also close to the Waikato River, adding to its charm and providing beautiful views. Overall, Boyes Park is a wonderful spot to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with loved ones. Whether you're looking for outdoor exercise, a family outing, or a quiet place to unwind, this park offers it all. Highly recommend!

Now this is what I call a park. I hope it never changes. Cheers, Harry
